Featured Items

Content can be Featured on the website modules, which will highlight the and make them stand out from the crowd at the top of the list.  This applies to all of the module content types.  By default, toggling on the featured status will show the item in a colour based on your branding, and have 'Featured 'as the text shown.

Custom Types

However, the Custom Types tool offers flexibility with how these are displayed.  The option to change the colour and name of these featured items, meaning you can arrange and prioritise them however you'd like.

The types can be managed via More - Custom Types

To create a new type:

  1. Select New
  2. Enter the Name
  3. Select the Type
    1. Article - Assign via More - Articles - Used for exhibitor press releases
    2. Customer - Assign via Registrations - Customers - Used for speakers
    3. Exhibitor -Assign via Registrations - Exhibitors - Used for exhibitors
    4. Product - Assign via Financial - Products - Used for products
    5. Seminar - Assign via More - Seminars - Used for seminars
    6. Speaker -Assign via More - Seminars - Used for individual seminar speakers
  4. Update the Colour
  5. Click Save Custom Type
  6. Depending on the type, open the item, toggle on Featured and then click the Custom Type to select your newly created type

 

Session / Speaker Custom Types

Session speaker types are unique and isolated to the individual session.  A speakers custom type, when assigned to a session, is unique to and attached this specific session, please see below example where Melissa Joderli has been assigned as a Host for the Leaving a legacy: The heart of a face to face meeting session.

  1. This is done via More - Seminar 
  2. Opening the session
  3. Clicking Edit on the speaker
  4. Click Select for the Custom Type and select from the list
  5. Click Save
