The Attendance Summary is the best report to use in LiveControl to get an idea of your onsite attendance as the event progresses. It's also important to note that LiveBuzz will conduct a post-event clean up, so the stats might move slightly from close of event.
To access the Attendance Summary, click on Reports from the top menu and then Attendance. You will then see Attendance Summary as the first option:
In this report you will see an Overall Attendance as well as a breakdown for each open day of the event.
Overall Attendance
The overall attendance will show at the report page. It will combine all badge types and all event open days:
For each badge type you will see the following:
Total Pre Reg - The total number of active customers who pre-registered for the event (Registration Type = PreReg)
Pre Reg Attendees (% and number) - The number from Total Pre Reg that attended the show
Pre Reg Non Attendees (% and number) - The number from Total Pre Reg that did not attend the show
Onsite - The total number of customers registered onsite at the event (Registration Type = Onsite)
Total Unique Attendees - Combination of Pre Reg Attendees and Onsite Attendees (In the above example 2119 Pre Reg + 30 Onsite = 2149)
Revisits - Customers who attended again on another day
Total - Total "Footfall" - a combination of Total Unique attendees + Revisits (In the above example 2149 uniques + 48 revisits = 2197)
Attendance for individual open days
Following the summary, you will see a data table for each open day of the event:
These day summaries will largely follow the same logic as the overall attendance summary
Onsite - Attendees on this day who registered onsite. On the first open day, these will all be new onsite registrations.
Pre Reg - Attendees on this day who pre registered for the event.
Revisits - Attendees on this day, who attended on a previous day of this years event.
New Onsite - These are new onsite registrations on this day. For the first day of the event this will always match the onsite attendees as they are all new.
New Pre Reg - These are new attendees on this day from your pre-reg.
Total - Total attendance for this day.
Using the Speaker row on Day 2:
3 attendees who registered onsite
13 attendees who pre registered
3 + 13 = 16 Total
6 Revisits from a previous day
1 new attendee onsite registered Speaker
9 new pre registered speaker
6 + 1 + 9 = 16 Total
Comparing with other reports
In a number of scenarios, you may be comparing the figures shown in the Attendance Summary with other attendance reports such as First Entry Hour, it's important that you consider any filters applied to these reports and that they are the same in order for the numbers to match.
From our earlier example, our day 1 from the attendance summary was showing a total attendance of 1224. Here is the same data displayed using the First Entry Hour report. Each bar shows the first time we scanned a customer in to the show, and you can see the Aggregate Total in the data table below the graph also showing 1224:
