Modules are flexible content blocks used to display content and features across your LiveWeb site. Whether you need to update text, change its position, or adjust where it appears, the Modules Manager makes it easy to edit existing modules.

Access the Modules Manager

  1. Go to Content > Modules from the side menu.
  2. Use the search bar or filters to locate the module you want to edit.
  3. Click the module title to open it.

Updating the Module Content

Depending on the module type, you’ll see different fields and options. Some general settings available for all modules include:

  • Title - The name of the module which will appear above a module if not switched off. See Title toggle.
  • Title toggle - Show / remove the title above the module.
  • Position - Set a custom position for the module, or choose from a list of pre-existing positions from the site template. Depending on what page the module is assigned, it will appear on the page layout based on the position e.g. 'first-section' will set the module above a module set as 'second-section'.

Below are the most common module types and their settings.

 Custom HTML module

Editing a Custom HTML module is similar to editing an article. You will see an article editor and toolbar, and the same options that are available for an article are available here for a Custom HTML module.

Latest News Enhanced module

A Latest News Enhanced module will display your latest news articles (or any type of 'category' within an article).

Commonly used settings include:

  • Under the 'Item Selection' tab you can:
    • Filter the articles by Categories, e.g. 'News'
    • Filter the articles by Tags e.g. 'Featured' or 'Event'
    • Set the order of the articles
    • Limit the number of articles that are shown on a page by setting a 'Max Count'
  • To update the 'Read More' text:
    • Go to the 'Layout' tab
    • Scroll down to the 'Read More' section
    • Update the 'Link Label' field to whatever text is required

Smart Slider 3 module

Selecting a slider within a module is as simple as selecting the slider from the list of available sliders in dropdown menu. After it has been selected you can click on the button to edit the slider from this screen. The module can then be placed at a templated position, or be given a unique position to be referenced in a Custom HTML module, or article.
